Requests?

Since Doug's on vacation I guess it's up to me to take up the slack on pictures. However, all I do for the next two weeks is standup overnights, basically last flight outta IAD to somewhere, then first flight in the morning back to IAD. Only so many times I can take pics of the same stuff, so ... any requests?

Lemme know. I do one more DTW trip tonight, the weekend off, back to work Tues night. PM or post.

Well, I won't be flying with any Captains in the near future, but I'll look around to see what I can see. If I can get in the actual jumpseat on the way home tomorrow, maybe you'll get to see those guys.

I just have a really stupid question. Do you get like different forms of "route of flight" documents for the diff airlines you fly under like UAL and USAIR or just one from Mesa dispatch?

Good question, actually. I can switch between all three systems and really would never see a difference. Mesa does all of our dispatching, no matter what the paint job on the outside (if we even have that). So basically, when I move from HPX to UEX to USX, the only thing different is the color of paint and the airline I mention in my "Welcome aboard" speech.
 
Is it listed on your particular leg who you're flying for? Something like HP2137 then UA4119?

Actually the only way one of us would fly multiple systems in one day is if something really went wrong. Our schedules are built into the base, and each base is dedicated to a codeshare. The only time I've flown different codes in the same month was last November, when I was flying UEX from LAX and was assigned a trip to DEN to fly F9X (we lost that contract). Either way, our flight are always filed as "ASH" (Air Shuttle) since we're Mesa operating as XXX.
 
Similar deal for us on CHQ, except my base flies for three of the four code-shares (AA is STL only). For us, the easy way to tell is by the flight number ... 3000s are US, 5000s are AA, 6000s are DL, and 7000s are UA. Last month, as a lineholder, I flew all three colors ... this month is all US and UA. They don't mix in a single pairing ... but right now I'm in the middle of back-to-back two-days ... yesterday and today were UA flying (ain't IAD grand???) and the next two are US ... mostly PIT.

Our releases are also exactly the same from partner to partner ... nothing different at all since CHQ dispatch in IND creates and sends them no matter what is painted on the airplane.

As for requests ... Bog, Doug probably wouldn't like it if you posted any pictures from the "shoe store" ("art gallery", "pilot lounge", etc.) ... if you get my meaning!!

IAD is a mess, I agree. You're telling me they just look fast? They're faster than Slowtations, anyway. Cleveland CTR tried to slow about 15 of us last night to follow a Citation into DTW. They finally woke up and let us overfly him. I was leading the pack, hauling a## and trying to make a crossing restriction, coming down at 4000 fpm to stop 1000' above him. Hope he didn't have TCAS, because it would have been screaming at him (like mine was /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/spin2.gif).

Yeah, they are slow... I think they (Hawkers) cruise around .75M or so...
