Republic TA

@ATN_Pilot You have absolutely no idea what the national negotiated, and you are calling Bourne a menace. All because we aren't an ALPA represented carrier right?

Holy crap dude, put down the koolaid.

I don't care what he negotiated. For an international to come in and negotiate while the local pilots sit by and watch is absolutely unbelievable.
And you know this how? Because you read it on a message board from an Eagle pilot?

I don't give a rats rearend who negotiates. If the TA is something that I agree with, great. If not I will vote no, and go back to doing what I'm currently doing.

According to our union email there was 5 local pilots and 1 national and another 1224 local rep.
Mr Bourne wasn't present.
Would you like me to fill your ALPA Koolaid cup once more?
And for the love of Pete, don't confuse this as a union peter measuring contest.

The only one talking about ALPA is you, hot shot.
You called David Bourne a menace. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure whatever bad blood you have with him/IBT stems from your tenure at ALPA.
I don't care if he is the devil incarnate. If his influence helped to get us a TA (one which you, let alone us haven't seen yet) so be it.
You have a serious disdain for SWAPA, IBT and the other carriers that aren't ALPA; kind of hard not to draw a conclusion in each and everything you write.

Do we have final numbers, pay charts? I'm told my chart wasn't the best sourced and would like to see final numbers.
Ask your boy Val or his boy Ray. Both are claiming they have copy's of the RAH TA kind of funny because the union head at RAH doesn't have one yet. Ray is going around telling people he it is so good he would vote for it.

Hey man your the one that said and I quote

I trust Val. You underestimate him.

We need more like him.

So there you have it Val and Ray per Facebook are telling guys they have seen the TA and it is so good they would vote for it. Go with the guy you trust, just ask him to send a copy over to Craig at RAH because he still doesn't have one.

I find it VERY interesting how quickly parts of this TA leaked, if in fact anything that has been posted anywhere is true. It is absolutely imperative for the NC and MEC leadership to control the message until the MEC has a chance to vote on it. Then, and only then, can it be disseminated to the pilot group as a whole, and even then, it is best to do that through roadshows instead of emailing the TA out cold.

One of the things that amazed me at PSA was that after the 4 of us in the room (3 NC members and the MEC chair) told the company we had a deal, NOTHING leaked to anybody. We announced we'd reached a TA (AIP whatever) but nothing was leaked at all until the full MEC met 5 days later gave it a positive recommendation. After that nothing leaked (keep in mind now 12 guys new the details) for another 10 days until we started road shows. It says a lot for the integrity of the MEC members and also for the pilot group who actually did a really good job of not speculating too much during that time.

For pretty much nobody having the details of the Republic TA, there are a lot of hard numbers being thrown around out there.

You called David Bourne a menace.

I knew Dave before you were even a pilot. I could tell you things about his conduct at ALPA, and his conduct as IBT Airline Division president when he was trying to court us at the NPA. My opinion of him has nothing to do with the fact that he heads up the Airline Division. It is purely about his conduct. I'll be more than happy to talk to you about it over drinks at NJC, if you'd like.

His conduct compared to our locals leadership is vastly different. Do you remember last year when we pulled out of ASAP? It was a poorly thought out response by our local president because he was fired for failing upgrade training. National stepped in and reinstated it due to some by-law issues yadda yadda. (In part).
Over the last number of months I see progress at the negotiating table to include yesterday's AIP. Many thanks to national's level. (However the company also has serious staffing issues, I'm not saying national is the hero at the table)
I don't know the guy personally. The actions I've seen over the last 3 years as a member, hasn't made me more jaded than I am generally.
I'll do my best to try to make it out to NJC, however you're just up the road from me in lower Alabama. Swing on by and we can hit the range.

PS: I got my commercial certificate on September 6, 2001.
