Bryan Bedford, the chief executive officer of Indianapolis-based Republic Airways Holdings will be one of the CEOs to appear on this season's 'Undercover Boss' television show. An airdate for the episode featuring Bryan Bedford has not been announced.

UNDERCOVER BOSS was the Emmy-nominated #1 new series of the 2009-2010 season, averaging 17.7 million viewers. UNDERCOVER BOSS premiered following the Super Bowl this year and had 38.7 million viewers, the largest audience for a new series following the Super Bowl.

Each week, UNDERCOVER BOSS follows a different executive as they leave the comfort of their corner office for an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their companies. While working alongside their employees, they see the effects that their decisions have on others, where the problems lie within their organizations and get an up-close look at both the good and the bad while discovering the unsung heroes who make their companies run.

Do you think that this will help morale at the airlines or hinder it?

Wow! I'm impressed, I NEVER thought one of those guys would dare to do something like this. I'm sure no long lasting changes will happen as a result of this, but a man can dream.

I won't hold my breath, but I think it has potential to help morale. It will be interesting to see if BB changes in any appreciable way. If he does, I hope it's more than just for the camera while the show is being taped.

It could be good, unless he's a pilot he can't be in the cockpit, but having him work as a flight attendant for a trip or two will push him to his breaking point.:D

I hope he gets a good idea of what it's like to work the retarded hours flight crews get to experience during a month. I'd love to see him pass out from fatigue after a few 16 hour duty days. Too bad he couldn't be in the cockpit trying to fly, although I'd feel terrible for the pilots that would have to baby sit him and potentially have to deal with mgmt backlash.

Should be good. Perhaps he dresses as a pilot or FA and hangs around the crew room... lolz...

Not defending the man, nor the bunch of crooked CEO's out there...but if almost anyone can do a better job of running a company then why don't they go for it?

don't think it will be too effective since he will only be doing ground work, nothing flight crew related.

Well I just checked the FAA pilot database and there is a Bryan Bedford from Indiana that has some type of license (it doesn't say) with an expired medical.

So maybe he might get recurrent (if he's a real pilot) and fly with the crew? You know what the public wants to see.

Somebody ought to send the producers one of his over-the-top, hyper-religious memos...

Cool, Season one is on Hulu (redirects to CBS). I only saw the WM episode after the SB and liked it.
