Republic airways pilots??

I like not having a middle seat though. Everytime I've gotten the middle seat, its usually been between two people who hog the arm rests and cramp my personal space. I'll take a window or isle any day, and the 170/190 offers only those options. So I can see why a frequent traveler would enjoy the seating.

Midwest ran MD80s and 717s. The seating was A-C and D-E-F. Frequent Fliers on YX probably could always get the A-C side, so the 2-2 seating of a 170/190 isn't anything new to them.

Believe it or not, everyone here had .4 hours at one pilot in their lives.

I thought midwest did that 2-2 seating all the way through their 717s? Thus a E-jet would be a downgrade from that.

.4 TT is a little strange though. At best you can taxi to/from the active runway in .2. That means that aircraft was "wheels up" for only 12 minutes. That's a pretty quick intro flight!

When they were receiving the 717s they had that seating. Around the end of 2006, they started going away from that. I think when I left Skyway, it was about half and half.

I've done 6 landings in .6

Also flew across Chicago in .4, Schaumburg - Bowlingbrook

The 170s/190s are very comfortable and way to big for us to be flying them for the amount we are getting paid. Republic turned itself into a LCC/Major/Whatever you want to call it over the course of a couple days and our union/pilot group is playing serious catch up. Unfortunately I think its gonna take years and years to force management to give us the pay and respect that we deserve, if we even last that long. Not really on topic but thats what was on my mind.

Maybe your on and off times but not engine start to shutdown.

It was engine start to shut down.

that's 36min..it's definitely possible.

Hell I've done 11 take off's and landings in 1.3, including TO and FROM an airport 10-15nm away.
