Renters Insurance necessary???

I haven't purchased yet, but when I got a quote from Avemco for basic, lowest level renters insurance with hull coverage it was like $200/year. That would cover the $2,500 deductible from the FBO and you'd be protected that way. It's an hour in the airplane's worth of $$$, but you'd be silly to not have it...unless you can cut a check in the amount of the FBO's deductible, I know I can't.

Sorry we're talking about two different products by the same underwriter. I was referring to this one http://www.avemco.com/NAFI/Features.aspx the insurance policy, not an endorsement.

It appears NAFI has negotiated a different endorsement that the standard one.

Understand the term endorsement: it means an addition to a standard policy contract. Using the NAFI policy as an example, if you click "Policy" on the page you linked, you'll see that the insurance contract is a standard non-owned aircraft insurance contract. Then click on "Endorsement" and you'll see the NAFI-specific CFI endorsement to the non-owned aircraft policy, which is indeed different than the standard AVEMCO CFI insurance endorsement.
