Yeah, Panda Buffet is pretty nasty. China Garden is actually not too bad, hell of a lot better than Panda! The food still sucks compared to other cities, but that's what we get for living in Grand Forks...:buck:

Anyone going flying today? It's beautiful out!!:sarcasm: BTW, if someone is still looking to get out of this damn state for Thanksgiving, you guy's should check NWA and UAL, they have some pretty damn good fares out of FAR right now!
Yeah, china garden isn't bad. Used to eat there a LOT.

EEEEWWWW, almost as bad (but not quite). Actually, China Garden has good fried cream cheese wontons. Everything else is nasty... actually their Pepsi is good :rawk:

Oh...and since this town's Chinese food has no chicken or pork chow mein, it sucks donkey balls twice!

...that crap that they call chow mein that has 98% vegetables, 1% crispy noodles, and 1% chicken is not real chow mein. I am assuming they make it that way because Chicken here is so damn expensive...and mein noodles are impossible to import for some reason?

don't like the offerings in GF? learn to make your own ethnic food. that's what i did. for about 1.5 years the best mexican and pan-asian food in GFK came straight from my kitchen.

you can't go to GF, ND and then complain about the quality of chinese food at the $6 buffet.

So do I. I've been making Chinese food with the wok I have. I usually steam white rice and make stir-fry. It's pretty good!

Just wait until you do CFI. There will be times that you will lock yourself in a room on a friday night while all of your friends are out so you can just get caught up with work.

I'm sorry for bringing up this topic, but I laughed!
Oh and what I heard about cfi, "it's like aerodynamics on steroids.." Or "physics all over with plenty to do" I'm sorry but those two classes were easy A's.

Hey my word, some people are slow, some lock themselves in and out of social to learn, some are fast, some don't sleep, some do it on weekends, some don't really need to lock themselves. Everyone has their own style!

Dude locking yourself up in your room is so much fun! The best part is when you do it long enough the walls start talking to ya. I made friends with my walls once, I called the right one Joe and the left one Harriet. Harriet was mighty fine!:nana2: No matter how much work you have people, remember a little break is nice! Go out, have fun, even under extreme stressful conditions. It will help ya out!

Whos up for some good indian food? Heard there is a cool spot in Fargo

Yeah I hear it's supposed to be good. I know where it's at - I have it written down somewhere. I'll have to try it out one of these days.

I'll probably be going down to Fargo Saturday night for the Hodo Lounge. Has anyone been here before? I go there all the time - good music in an urban modern martini lounge. Their Martini's are the best. In fact, that's the first place I took my parents, brother, and sister upon their arrival into Fargo to visit me for my birthday. They have an excellent menu.

The Hodo is located in Hotel Donaldson: http://www.hoteldonaldson.com/

I can't remember the name of the theater in downtown fargo.... dammit.
Anyway, up the street is a place called bertrosas that has good beer cheese soup and gyros, but it's like hidden in this mall kind of thing. I ate there 4 times a week when I was working in FAR :o
