I am with chautauqua, I live in base. My Dec schedule is as follows:

16 days off
off Xmas eve, Xmas day and the day after, new years eve, 3/4 weekends and I have all day trips so I am home each day, SWEET!

For all you guys, it isnt that bad, it all depends on where you are which determine which airline is good or bad!!

Another Comair pilot jumps over to Chautauqua! I love it! Nice schedule! I'm still at Comair so I won't show you my schedule as you can probably guess what it looks like;)

Buffalopilot, listen to me.

It is NOT cool around here to enjoy life. Especially if you're at a regional.

You know, if I bid BUF, I'd be halfway up the seniority list . . . :D

Which class were you in at CHQ?

This is a bit off topic, but how do you like Comair? At this point, Comair's my #1 choice for when I'm entering the industry.

When I went to work for Chautauqua almost 13 years ago (GASP! Has it been that long???) We had around 400 pilots. A bunch of Jetstream 31s and a handful of Saab 340s.

If anyone had ever told me that Chautauqua was going to be flying 100 passenger jet aircraft inside of a decade, I would've set the parking brake and had them drug tested.

I simply can not believe how large that company has become.

Isn't it amazing? My sim instructor was a former CHQ guy, left for the "big chance" to go to a major (TWA) and . . . well, he works at FSI now. He took a look at the seniority list to see where he'd be and almost cried.

You just never know.

I've noticed your posts recently and you seem very bitter with OH. What's up man? I know reserve sucks, but is there more to it? PM me if you don't want to discuss in the open. Not knocking you or anything just want to know what is going on.

Life isn't too bad at Colgan for me a junior Saab FO.

For December...

15 days off...

95 credit hours...

22, 23, 24 off

RSV on XMAS day

29, 30, 31 OFF

Now when I'm on RSV I'm at home with my family. And that is why outstation basing works for me.

I know the Beech guys aren't as fortunate. I wish everyone a very happy holiday season.

Oh geez. Don't give the guy a hard time. Not EVERYONE takes their daily Kool-Aid suppository. I left Comair after being there for a little over two years. It was ok. But not fantastic. There are better jobs out there. Why give the guy a hard time about his opinions?

I'm not, just curious whats up. Maybe he knows something I don't, I haven't worked but like one trip a month the past couple of months.

Comair is not that bad. For December I have a 15 days off (a stretch of 12) then 3 other ones and my line is about 65 hours.
I was thinking about going to skywest but decided not to.
