Look just call 651-367-5000 talk to the operator and ask to be put through to Frank Slocum (however you spell his name) and if he isn't in minnenoplace anymore due to the merger they'll get you a number. Or call whoever you call at whichever company you are at.

That's been the biggest change for me from XJ to 9L. At Mesaba, I never emailed. I always dialed the switchboard number and talked to the lady who sounds like shes been smoking for about 60 years. Just give her the name you wanna reach and she patches you right through. Seems like at 9L it's all email. I asked somebody for the switchboard number for 9L and they had no clue what I was talking about. I don't know, maybe I'm old school but it just seems like you get your point across better when you talk to a live person instead of doing the email thing. Like when your first 7 paychecks at your new airline is wrong and you wanna scream at sombody rather than type it. I digress.

When I was at Colgan I always called someone... of course they were owned by the Colgans back then for a little bit and they still pretended even after the buyout but anyhow... to any Colgan guy, just call Mesaba ok? It's OK, I promise. It's like a real company and everything over here.

He personally called me a few months ago, on a Saturday, to tell me I got the Q in EWR cause he knew I wanted it and was waiting for it. So he does work on the weekends, despite what people think. Although it kinda scared me getting a call from a Minny area code on a weekend. Thought I was in trouble.

I agree, I worked with him for a few months around the offices and he is a great guy. He is also typically the first person there in the AM (and I mean by 7, while everyone else is 8) This last award and its delays really made people upset and gave up hope for a little bit with crew planning, me included, but it was a huge job and it IS comforting knowing he is doing it and not MH. That of course is just my opinion.

Frank's actual meals consist of crackers and cheese (some sort of cheddar and a smaller ritz variant) and light from the monitor of his screen in some sort of a photosynthesis type reaction. He has grown tall and lean like a Crepe Myrtle and sits just as patiently. He may not be Cray supercomputer fast, but he's a dedicated man with no ego and a sound work ethic. I find him to be very honest and very human.

Almost nobody at the colgan side picks up...scheduling gives you the slam click... Emails leave a trail when you done get an answer and go above them.

Reverse CDOs (day trips) will do that. I keep forgetting about our "quiet room."

Ouch... I was in a foul mood, doing a 5 leg day to finish, I would have hung around to chat, but I kept losing my fa's and having to go find them and drag then back to board.

But seriously, you have been working here way to long to be sitting in the right seat.

I'm Jared, tuck and truck were two words that popped ip on one of those capchtas things for our unifor site...which I was on while I signed up for jetcareers... Has no real meaning.
