Amentum Kekaha, Hawaii:<BR /><p>Amentum is seeking a Range Air Traffic Controller (RATC) - C for a position on Kauai, HI. Supporting the Range Operations Support Department. Independently or under minimum supervision provides close positive air control of all aircraft operating in PMRF airspace. (Must be certified in accordance with PMRFINST 3722.1 Series prior to controlling aircraft in PMRF airspace.)</p><p></p><p>Responsibilities</p><p></p><p>Specific assignments and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:</p><p></p><ul> <li>Provide close positive control of multiple aircraft through interpretation of radar data presented on analog and digital display devices.</li> <li>Communicate with aircraft using proper radio transmission procedures and protocols.</li> <li>Provide controlled aircraft with flight information necessary for them to accomplish their mission and avoid interfering with other aircraft operating in the area.</li> <li>Maintain a log of all aircraft activity on the Range.</li> <li>Set-up, check-out, operate and monitor radar displays, and other computer-generated multi-sensor display systems in support of Range Operations. Responds to changing operational requirements when directed.</li> <li>Maintain surveillance and notifies RCO of unidentified aircraft or vessels entering the operational areas.</li> <li>Direct Range aircraft and boats in the launch and recovery of targets and the recovery of weapons.</li> <li>Perform aerial target coordination tasks during RPV flights and aircraft coordination during remote site EW operations as required.</li> <li>Perform other duties as required.</li> </ul><p></p><p>Additional Responsibilities</p><ul> <li>General office environment with periodic assignments at remote sites.: </li> <li>Must be able to carry portable field radios into rough terrain areas for remote EW operations.</li> <li>Able to lift, push and pull 10lbs.</li> <li>Work requires excessive sitting and repeated or frequent climbing.</li> <li>Frequent customer contact, extended workday and field assignment</li> </ul><p></p><p>Minimum Qualifications</p><ul> <li>High School or equivalent.</li> <li>Satisfactory completion of a Navy "A" School Air Traffic Controller (ATC) course or one of the following courses:</li> <li>Navy Air Intercept Controller (AIC),</li> <li>Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ATC School,</li> <li>Navy Air Direction Controller (ADC) Course.</li> <li>Equivalent Air Force Schools accepted.</li> </ul><p></p><p>Certifications:</p><ul><li>Three years of experience in ATC field.</li></ul><p></p><p>Security Clearance</p><p><br>Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a US Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment. </p><p></p><p> </p><p>Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
