RAH TA

I wholeheartedly would love 100% DH pay. I average 1 to 2 DH every 4 day. Just last trip I was reassigned and ended up with 4 deadheads. It comes out to about $15-$30 every trip I'm missing out on with only 75% pay. Captains are obviously missing out on way more.

But 75% is what we were are offered. That's what's in front of us. And if we vote this one down, I'm not convinced that we will entertain a new offer anytime soon that may include 100% DH pay. So I'm willing to take the increases in other areas and take my 75% nap time.

I know you guys have no wide bodies (TAKE THAT EASTIES) but when you have to deadhead from IAH-NRT, you want 100% deadhead pay.
American has plenty of widebodies, just ask them. Anyways, all three legacy majors have similar numbers of widebodies.

Legacy Airways didn't have any before, but the Easties said they did and didn't want the Westies to have them :)

Yes 'Merican has them.

I'll tell ya whut, Bobby, but if we were paid anything less than 100% DH, that three hour sit would turn into a 30 minute turn, a deadhead from SLC to LAX and a leg to SFO.

My reserve months where I'm still below "the cap", crew scheduling gets very creative. DH to A, fly A to B. DH from B, layover in C...

100% deadhead is a wonderful way of nudging the company into making more efficient pairings/rotations/trips/whatever-your-shop-calls-them
"This is crap! Someone call the Rotation Construction Committee! Ahmma file a greevumps!"

If it's great it will be hit with the "Cadillac tax" next year along with most of the airline health plans

The line from a former FO of my company, after he jump to another regional, his comments "I pay most of my 1st year monthly paid for health insurance." It is important. Not just pay scale.

I'm betting that gets repealed. Too many interests fighting to get rid of it.
Then ACA fails. The days of $1 Rx and $5 copays have to end. People have to stop going to the doctor for a simple cold, insisting on a Rx, filling it but never using it because the cold was gone.
