Quick PIC question

I am currently flying a PC-12 part 91 with 2 pilots and we both split the PIC time . Some people have told me that my name needs to be in the MX log if I am logging any PIC time. Is this true or do companies not care about this if it's 91?

You can log whatever you want. Some places have in applications that stipulate it only counts for the person signing for the airplane. Part 91 has nothing to do with it.

Is your logbook for the FAA — use the FAA's rules to meet the FAA's requirements for certificates, ratings, privileges and currency as 61.51 says — and then report the data based on your potential employer's standards (or create a separate colum for what you think they are)?

Or is your logbook for a company you may or may not have an interview with in the future — use what you think are the company's experience requirements to fill out your logbook and maybe miss a qualification for something along the way or have a possible falsification claim because you "signed for the aircraft" but weren't authorized by the FAA to log the time as PIC?

Thanks for the reply. im perfectly qualified as far as the FAA is concerned and I completed the full Simcom training course. I just want to make sure that I don't have any problems at an interview in the future.

I should put this in my signature block: While the regulations form a base, a lot of logging is about bookkeeping for efficient data extraction.

The data you need to extract for your next 8710 is different from the data you need to extract for an aviation job interview, which is different than what you may need to report to insure a Cessna 210 at a decent rate. There are so many examples of this in pilot logbooks that have zero to do with FAA requirements with many of them them having nothing to do with job interviews either.
