Question to Airline Pilots on Credit Checks

Im currently finishing up my IFR training. I plan to eventually go toward the airlines. I have my degree and I just need to finish flight training and build hours. My question is will the airlines not hire poeple with poor credit? I recently found out that 'when' they hire the perform pre-employment credit checks and subsequently I have poor credit. Am I going to waste my time going for the airlines if I have bad credit eventhough im and accomplished pilot? I know I could do other jobs but that seems a bit disturbing. I really appreciate any info.

Airlines love bankruptcy, why should they be the only ones to have bad credit? Unless you plan on being the CFO, I wouldn't worry about your credit score!

Its fairly bad. Some credit card debt, one judgment when I got kicked out of my apartment. I was 19 its just history bad time for me. Havent payed it back because I have been paying for my bachlors degree and now finishing up flight training. I mean I know airlines arn't the only jobs out there but, it was my goal.
