Question Regarding Stalls and Air Sickness

[ QUOTE ]
Bigey, I got sick quite a bit during the beginning of my Private Training. On just about every one of my first 5 flights, I felt absolutely horrible. My Instructor would have to fly us back to the airport because I thought I'd loose it if I had to fly.

On my last flight before my checkride, I threw up!

A while later, while flying on of the SAFECON events in 2002, I threw up. Those Jepp flight bags are leakproof, you know . . .

It happens, but you'll get past it. Trust me on that one. Just go frequently, eat light, and stay hydrated.

Thats what everyone seem to be telling me, is go frequent.

I know its so weird. Its like you know its bad, and makes you feel sick, but you keep going towards it!

Probably another reason my friends call me crazy for becomming a pilot. I guess in the end it'll pay of wonderfully. 6 o'clock departure while watching the sunrise. Ahh..cant wait for the airlines and i havent even got me a PPL!

Nerves are definitely a big part of the problem. On my intro flight a while back my instructor asked about ten times before we went up about how strong my stomach was so i started to worry about it, then while we were up, I was feeling fine and having a blast out over lake Michigan but she wouldn't stop asking if I was feeling okay. I had never been up in a plane before so I started to wonder if I was all of a sudden going to puke and that's when I started really being conscious of my stomach and it kind ruined the flight. No puke, no sickness so that was good but I told her she's really setting people up to puke because she's freaking them out worrying about it. Granted I'm sure she has reason to be asking!

And about medicine...Ever try those patches you stick behind your ears? Work wonders for my dad.

I have not started my PPL training yet but hope to soon. I also dont have a very strong stomach. Only time I will really get sick is on Boats. Thats the reason I dont want to do my PPL training on Cessna. I would rather use a Low Wing which takes turbulance more like a car.
I also have a friend working on his PPL who also gets sea sick but not air sick.
I not a huge fan of Rollercoasters but whenever I will be at a amusement park or something which has them I will force myself to go on some. If you can survive a roller coaster with 7 loops and 2 huge drops than a Flight should not be much of a problem. I think for my first few flights though I be on the safe side and take one of those patches or watch things. Are there any bad sideeffects?
