It is not normal to create pairings that layover in domicile. Willing to put money on that. Now 2 pairings back to back... that's coincidence and luck of the draw.

At the regional I worked at, anytime you were in base you were on your own.

At DL, if you are in base via just your trips backing up together, you are on your own. If you are rerouted into a domicile layover in the middle of a trip, then a hotel is provided.

A hotel is also provided for recurrent and qualification training after complete your initial newhire qualification regardless of where you are based.
