Question for the DOC....

I retired a while ago from the military as a pilot and always passed my flight physical (military and civilian). I just received a disability rating from the VA of 70% due to some back problems (DDD, DJD and arthritis). Will this prevent me from renewing my second class medical next summer? Also have a PTSD rating of 10%.

It is meant to be reassuring but there are never any guarantees when one deals with government agencies. They understand the VA disability system and I have yet to see a VA disability DQ anyone.

OK, awesome!!!! I was under the assumption though that arthritis required a special issuance. Is this not the case????

It depends onb the severity and what kind of arthritis.
