Question for Delta guys (new hire)

I am lucky enough to be joining the team very soon. Ill be trying to get back to DTW, What would be faster, the 737 or the 757? And does it matter if I choose ATL or NYC as a starting base?

Welcome...hard to say as things are moving quickly. Don't take an Advance Entitlement until you can hold what/where you want to avoid a seat lock somewhere/something else.

I'd say DTW would be a lot easier to get than MSP. Seems that the normal "train" is NYC > DTW > MSP for a lot of flows.

Things are moving very quickly, if given a choice, choose wisely. If assigned, you have no lock.

I am not familiar with the aircraft designation 'ER'. Is that a new build?

The ER category includes 757-200, -200ER, -300, and 767-300, -300ER. It is referred to as "The 7ER" or just "The ER."

As opposed to when we had a fully split domestic and transoceanic categories.

Indeed, along with the 76T.

Yes. When we had split categories, the domestic side was 764, and the transoceanic side was 765.

76T is just a cabin configuration. Along with Q, X, G, and one or two others. Unless your a flight attendant, they are not relevent.

I posted it because that's how United labeled the category. Since @Seggy always asks what an ER is.

Yep! We label the flight deck positions as Captain and First Officer....not 'A' and 'B'.

So do we. We just don't write the full words out every time on every document. It's called expediency. That and ink isn't cheap.
