And it's pretty cool too. There's a little "klunk!" when it goes to the off position.
Did your MD-80s have the switch to change the hydraulic pressures to 1500 psi? It seems to have been optional.
Starting a APU on a scarebus is a lot easier than a Boeing, but that is about it.....

Scarebus is click the groundpower, turn on battery, turn on master APU, wait for flap open, and then hit APU on.
You are right, the Airbus APU is much simpler to start. Those French folks are so incredibly clever. :insane:
I've done a quite of brake rides with the B737 and A320, the 737 is not hard, only thing that is different is the APU generators switches on the 737.
Oh yeah, I forgot about them. No wonder the FAs keep complaining about no galley power. :laff:
