Question about self help

So my cousin Comes Instant Messeging me and asks me if there are any available courses for people who are afraid of flying, one of her cloest friends has a fear of flying and she wants him to enroll in a course to ease on fear of flying, I suggested seeign a shrink, or putting him in a box then loading him on a plane, but she did not like any of my suggestions. If any of you know of any please Post or IM me at ocsoph562 thans everyone.
 
there are companies out there Chris - just do a google search on fear of flying course or school or something....
 
Just have 'em check out airdisaster.com. They'll see about the worst that could possibly happen. Ya know, "throw them into the deep end of the pool". Should be all better after checking it out. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The way I have heard of dealing with any fear is start small and work your way up. In this case, you'd start by showing a picture of an airplane and when they realize that is no big deal, then they go look at a real plane, and when that doesn't bug them then they sit on the plane while it's off, and when they can deal with that, you turn the plane on, and then when they are over that, you drive around the runway, and then you take off and do one small circle and come back....etc, etc. all the way until they can do a full flight and it's no big deal.

They could try some liquid courage. Just don't use too much or they might not make the flight after all. We've had to put off a couple of whiskey-logged passengers.
