If I fly with someone else who is not a pilot (just a passenger) -- in a C172 -- can I log the flight as "Solo?"
No. Better question is why would you want to?
Duh. Good call...I often post before thought. There are a few requirements for certificates that must be solo. Commercial Glider, Long Commercial Solo X/C, for instance.
And? Are you suggesting the rules of logging time don't count when logging time? There is no definition of "solo" in FAR Part 1.
Should I be logg'n solo time? Skydivers up, they get out, I am technically solo for the decent. :laff:

I never thought about that, but I guess it's true.
Should you log it? Well, the next time you have to fill out an 8710 it will ask for your solo time. Personally, I log it.
