Question about 100 multi program

Hi, I have been reading all the posts but have some questions about the 100 multi program. This includes the checkout in the Duchess, correct? Do they provide airplane manual? Also, it is where one person is flying under hood and the other is a safety pilot, right? Are all the people who do this instrument rated? Reason I ask is that I would like to get some actual instrument to log. What if you are flying into IFR, can the safety pilot log this time? Is housing provided for you? Is 10 hours a night doable? How long where you down there to get your 10 hours? Also, is there any hidden fees? Any other info you can give me would be appreciated. What if there are odd number of people to fly? You need two to fly the Duchess at such a low cost. Does that mean one person can't fly that night? Thanks.

Yes, the cost includes the checkout in the Duchess. Generally, the way it works is the first 5 hours (checkout) comes out of your total 100 hours and you pay an additional $300 for the instructors time (included in your quoted price).
The POH for the Duchess is "sold" to you for about $100 and bought back from you at the end of the time for $90....these POH figures ARE NOT EXACT....don't quote me....however, they are close. It is a good deal

Yes, one pilot "under hood" and the other acts as safety pilot. Actual IFR conditions are encouraged!

Ocassionally, there is a person who won't get to fly that night because of an odd number of time-builders....however, it doesn't happen regularly. Typically, there are some who don't want to fly, for whatever reason.....cancellations, sick, want a night off, etc....

There are no hidden fees! You will pay what you are quoted unless you fly more than what you originally signed up for.
My recommendation to you is to contact the school at 800-635-9032. This way you get "official" information from school management. Best time to call is between 0900 - 1700.

thanks for answering my questions. However, I still don't know if you can log safety pilot time when you are in actual instrument conditions. Anyone famarliar with this? Also, when do you start flying from 5PM to 8AM? That's 15 hours. A lot of time to crank out 100 hours.
