The primary responsibilities of this role are to conduct flying training and ground instruction for Kiowa instructors and pilot trainees in accordance with appropriate Training Management Plans and to provide sound mentorship and coaching to Junior Kiowa Qualified Flying Instructors.

- To promote a safe and professional work environment.
- Conduct all operations and deliver all training in accordance with the requirements of the AATTS contract and Boeing policy within the required regulatory framework (Standing Instructions).
- Ensure personal competencies, qualifications and medical status is maintained at all times.
BDA requires all applicants to be able to demonstrate the following essential qualifications:
- Hold a current CASA commercial helicopter pilots licence, including Class 1 medical.
- Hold a CASA Helicopter Night VFR rating; or a Command Instrument Rating and the night aeronautical experience detailed in paragraph 14.1.(b).(i) of Civil Aviation Order 40.2.1.
- Current CASA Grade 2 Instructor Rating (Helicopter).
