Q's to IAH round 2

'08s got Q captain in the last round of awards. I'm sure that will continue this time, as well.

However that had alot to do with the flight time requirement of the Q400 to upgrade or transition. The 2008 hires that went to the Q, were street captains. Generally though a mid 2007 hire is Captain

Once we get to filling vacancies for the remainder of the 15 Q400s, 2008 hires will be upgrading.
 
I suspect with the next 9 going to IAH now that the Q will again go more senior (senior meaning mid 07' probably at the latest).

The fact that we have early 08' hires upgrading into the dash 8 right now was a complete fluke. The canceled the bid when IAH went away and the only people who were interested (and had the flight hours) were very junior.

Had the IAH bid stayed originally the most junior CA was going to be in the saabs and they were going to be mid to late 07' hires. The dash 8 was going to be early to mid 07' at the most junior.

Unless you live in or around EWR, the normal reason to take a hit on QOL and go to a place like EWR, is the pay and when your company doesnt pay you well, it has issues like no one bidding a certain aircraft and base.
 
yup, thats why there are so many saab captains not willing to bid the Q. It will be interesting to see who shuffles down to IAH from EWR with this new vacancy bid. I really wish they would make a list to show who has already committed to move in previous vacancy bids. THat way I could measure my senority against the list and figure out my relative senority if I changed aircraft. Way too much work for M.H. i'm sure
 
Interestingly enough, the Continental website shows some flights out of CLE (as early as next month) to be done by Colgan. I didn't do very much research as far as all destinations, but they supposed to do CLE-ORD. I entered this flight into the database after noticing a recent Q400 flight from EWR-ORD-CLE-EWR. I can only imagine it was done to either show the next gen Q400, or to get things ready for possible service. Who knows, maybe the website is wrong and none of this will happen.
 
Its right. They are gettin the plane/crew to CLE through BWI. The CAL scope does not allow any non-mainline flying between hubs. CJC can ferry all they want to CLE, just no passengers.
 
We just got ORD Jepps in the last revision and a company 10-7 is out...Could very well be ORD for the mega-weedwhacker in October!

Really? You guys need a special class for ORD? It's an airport.. with a bunch of runways... and a couple of control towers... and a bunch of people.

Saab CA went to Spring 2008 hires. Alot of upgrades on this list, but I personally think we will still be well understaffed.
 
Must be quite a few people who don't meet those new upgrade mins. That's getting close to us Rob. Does this vacancy award cover staffing for 2010 only?

I'm not sure if it covers all the Qs arrival. I'm guessing a few of those Q guys don't want to come to the Saab either.
 
Wow! SAAB CA went way down the list. It has to be the Q guys not wanting to come over to the SAAB. With the new uprade mins I doubt there are many guys that don't qualify to upgrade on the SAAB. They would of had to get hired with zero time. Any way Rob looks like we are less than a page away if this holds up.

Now all I need is the total time. Getting your line pulled every month for check airmen to do ioe sucks.
