yes they do. that's why our "temporary" position is more than a year. or at least that's what they said on day 1

Actually you have to have 3 years to be vested in your agency automatic contribution (which means you don't get to keep them if you quit before then). There is a waiting period for the all the agency contributions (automatic & matching) and there is a chart for that here. My agency contributions will start in December of this year.
