I can say, it is a good idea to visit the facility you want to go to and request to be "captured" for that facility.

Dang, wish I had known you could actually do that! I knew you could visit the site, but didn't know anything about being "captured"! Ahh well....

Hrmmmm i'm not sure how well that would work.

It's up to the hiring panel, and USUALLY doesnt consist of your facilities reps. From what i've been told.

This is true. However, even though they (facility reps) aren't at the hiring panel, they can make a request to their managers to have you "captured". You have a great chance that someone who knows someone will put in a word for you. This is certainly a better approach than just hoping you get selected.

So that's what the ATM meant when he said he's gonna pull some strings for me to go to a certain facility? I just smiled and said thanks, thinking that he just said that to make me feel better!

Thats too bad that the facility that I want to work at is just under 4800 miles away, otherwise I would have loved to visit it.

Well, heres to some good news in the next few days (week?)

zz :)

My roots are in Kentucky, but my wife's are in Missouri. We visited the Sanders Cafe in Corbin, KY, when we went to Cumberland Falls State Park, and that's where the Colonel and I got acquainted. Nice fellow.

I'm trying to get in to STL, T75, Parks, or Spirit of St. Louis, but I will also be happy to take BNA. Actually, I'd be happy if I got offered ANYwhere - even Great Falls, MT. I had an inside contact at BNA that I've known for 17 years (his daughter and I were best friends in elementary school) that took me around the TRACON and tower and introduced me to the ATM there. I met atcwannabe on here, who's in the tower at STL, and he got me a tour up there, as well as the contact info for the ATM for T75 (St. Louis Tracon). I e-mailed the ATM at BNA yesterday and got a response this morning that they hadn't received any lists yet, so I was just curious if anyone else had heard anything from anyone yet.

I love St. Louis. I thought Lambert was staffed.
I talked with a controller working STL tower. He says they have 6 trainees and more on the way. So they are pretty much full. And they don't have an ATM anymore. It's some guy from Springfield, IL running the place.

The below charts were made from information gleamed from the stuckmic community. It was initially intended for personal use, but then I decided to share for those who might appreciate it. If any of you have information that I can use to correctly and accurately update this chart, I would be happy to receive it!!!! I know some people had to wait longer than reflected. This is because I tried to show the soonest dates each event would occur. The day the FAA hiring process is an exact science will be the day we can put together an exact model of the hiring timeline, until then all we have is a very general idea. Again any input or corrections to the below information would be appreciated.

Oh no. Its gonna be the battle of the charts.

I don't remember exactly who had the last chart, but I bet we see that one float to the surface of this thread.

Wow, they've only managed to get one pubnat group into actual training since the begining of last year........no comment I guess....

EDIT: after a 2nd look, the info is at least a few weeks out of date, but still.....

Woohoo I got selected for one of the centers I wanted!

I called aviation careers, gave them my social, and a man told me where I'm going.

He said they don't know when PEPCs are yet, but that emails should go out next week.
