That's the kind of thing that could make someone go postal.
I'm pretty sure that's how every panel is going to be treated in the future.
Welcome to trying to get a government job. My husband got passed over for a job at the post office even though he got 100% on the test. Why? Veterans get 15 point bonus.
And thats how it should be.:dunno:
I didn't mean to make it seem like I feel either way about Veterans preferences. I'm going to stop this right here before this thread becomes a huge debate about them. It doesn't matter how anyone feel about them, they are a fact of life.
The FAA is probably never going to have room to hire more than about 5% of their applicant pool again. I would guess that more than 5% have vets preference. So us regular Joes have missed the gravy train it seems.
how so? It's not over yet. There is supposed to be another panel in January for us...from the rumor mill...
Yeah, PUBNAT 7 got screwed. Two years from application to panels is ridiculous.

Did you even apply for Pub7? Per your sig, you only applied for Pub8...so how would you even know? You are about a year off on your timeframe as pp said. It's not even been a year since the close of the pubnat yet.
I've been following the PUBNATS since 1 came out. I majored in aviation, and I applied to the first one that came out after graduation, which was PUBNAT 8. The "two years" I was referring to is that the app came out in December 2008 and Panels are in 2010 - 2008 and 2010 are two years from each other - not that it was literally 24 calendar months.
:yeahthat:Well, there are plenty of people that are still waiting for class dates that were selected in panels way before the january panel. Everyone gets to hurry up and wait. Not just PUBNAT 7.
:yeahthat:
See my sig, and there are many more from PUBNAT 3 and 4 who have been told nothing until after Oct '10 for a class date.
