Well I am finally in the aviation field. Passed my PSEL today with 42.3 total time.

1 hour 35 min oral test followed by a 1.3 practical.

Short field take off, climb to cruise altitutde, make the first two checkpints, steep turns, slow flight, power on/off stalls, power on/off stalls w/ 20 degree bank, hood time...turns to a heading, unusual, short/soft field landings and t/o..on the way in turns around a point.....then a no flap landing.

Glad it is done and I am on to the Private Multi!!!!!!!

Congrats!

Hey...it took me over a year to get my private, and there were times that I flew once every other week, and I still got my ticket pretty close to minimums. Everytime I hear somebody say that they did it with low times, they get my congrats. Every time I hear someone say it can't be done, I shake my head.

Anybody wanna come to Nashville? I'll get you done in 40...

It took me about 60 hours in almost a year to get mine. I was flying anywhere from twice a week to once a month, though. Working at a theme park and trying to fly at the same time is not something I would recommend to anyone......

Practically everyday for three weeks and in between I hit the books pretty hard.

Oh, thats the way to do it, as of now I am averaging about once every 2 weeks!! as of now I am three weeks past my last flight.

Ryan,

Don't become frustrated and think that flying everyday is the only way to get your private. Like mtsu_av8er it also took me over a year to get my PPL bc I flew once a month and the fact that I wasn't 17 yet. I managed to take my checkride with 40.0 hrs so don't let flying once every two weeks or so get to you. Just be prepared for each lesson and you'll do fine.
