I'll take what you said as they only have a SIC rating, as maneuvers are deleted.


I'm thinking the same thing, too. Might even be more paperwork involved in a PIC type over an SIC type. More paperwork = more $$$, and we all know how PCL hates spending $$$.
 
We can only do circling approach when it's VMC at Southernjets. Even says so right on my type rating even.

Is it a circle then? Or for all intensive purposes a visual approach?

My ATP/type says the same thing, with minimums of 1000-3.

I always got a kick out of the Comair guys saying "unable, we can't circle" to the circle to runway 33 in DCA. It's a visual approach, not a circle guys. The tower changed tactics and now says something like "do you have runway 33 in sight? Cleared for visual approach runway 33".
 
Indeed, it's essentially a visual approach at that point and just a modified pattern.

Ipso facto, circling approaches are verboten with my type rating.

I can circle. THe weather's got to be above 1000 & 3 -- they probably got so caught up in the minutia they didn't realize that that actually could
 
yea velo what does the company say about going into petersburg? i flew in there about 10 years ago and maybe my memory is hazy but i could have sworn that there is a right handed bank no more than 500ft agl.
