Props Driving Engines??

Yeah..but why repeat what he'd already written?

I felt a need to clear up what I felt would be a misconception about the system. The NTS system is not there to keep the prop from driving the engine, it is there to reduce drag in the event of an engine failure.

If we are going to be discussing items we might as well strive to include as much correct information about the topic, so that anybody who would like to know about said topic has access to the correct information.

The NTS system is not there to keep the prop from driving the engine, it is there to reduce drag in the event of an engine failure.

Note that the drag of a failed engine is produced by the reversed thrust of the airstream on the prop producing a negative AoA, which also causes it to turn the engine. By preventing the negative AoA, you prevent the reverse thrust and prevent the prop from driving the engine.
