Proper ATC terminology

I think pilots are pretty good about delaying a second or two to listen for a correction. Sometimes (Actually a lot of times)it gets too damn busy to give every frequency change independently.

I typically take a second or two to dial in the frequency anyways, but even if I already have it in there, I wait a second or two to switch in case the controller needs to say/correct something. Some guys will have it dialed in and switch almost before they finish transmitting. It feels a little weird when they do that.

What about when you get a taxi clearance, and then they continue to recite the Wx you advised you had (at length) is that ok to do? Cause it's difficult to remember at the end of that...when I recite it back is when it locks in for me...

How about when 30NM out and coming in at 2am:

"Cleared the approach, cleared to land runway 29R, cleared to taxi to the gate...Have a good night!"

hahahaha... it´s exactly what I feel like saying .. in minor scale of course.
cleared to land rwy 09R cleared to taxi to the gate , ... and don´t dare call me again... good night!
but then I remember why I am awake at 3am.. my name is safety... lol..

My favorite is when the controllers at SAF try to give the MQ flights their outbound clearance before they've even reached the gate.

How about when 30NM out and coming in at 2am:

Or this at 0300:
"FreightDog123, Houston Center- radar contact 2 miles NE of Laredo airport, climb maintain FL350, cleared direct Destination"
"ummm... Houston Center, FreightDog123- You mean direct KYIP... 1200 miles away?"
"Affirmative, I'd clear you to land too, but that's outside my sector"
