Prop Overspeed

Was reading in SBE's CSEL checkride narrative that the examiner asked her about prop overspeed. What does that mean?

A Prop Overspeed occurs when the prop governor (the engine component responsible for maintaining the set prop RPM) fails and as a result, the prop exceeds it's max RPM limitation. Really only applicable to constant-speed prop aircraft, although you can overspeed a fixed-pitch prop too but it's not quite the same.
