Profit sharing back at AA

A temporary bonus is bad. Most other regionals have used permanent improvements to get and retain FOs. A pay increase is what they need to get and keep FOs.

The retention bonus is only 2 years. It loses value every quarter for a new hire. Increasing first year pay to ~$37/hr like all the other regionals have been doing would get FO's more money and future FOs will also benefit. The AAG people just want a temporary fix so they can reset FO's back to poverty wages if the hiring environment somehow improves.
If everyone raised pay and offered the bonuses, the net effect is zero.

You don't need to attract people who are already on property. They are already there. They're probably not going to leave unless called by a major, and they would leave anyway regardless of the bonus structure, unless they were close to flowing.

The flow offers intrinsic value, the question is how much? In order to be of decent value it basically has to guarantee a flow in 4-6 years, anything longer and most would rather take their chances elsewhere I'd guess.

I see reading comprehension isn't your thing.

........And....

KDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seggy, why don't you stick to your UAL threads. Or maybe the old Colgan threads.

Do you not have enough crap to do with all your ALPA involvement than to lurk in the AA threads.

I promise you will have nothing to do with APA ever coming to ALPA so give it a rest

If you are basing your opinion of an airline on this forum you are an idiot. Just calling it how it is.

Please don't come here, you're right. Keep waiting on UAL and DAL to call.

You're absolutely right. Don't base not going to AA on the forums, base it on the piss poor job their recruiters did at OBAP last year. Why on earth are they giving situational based interview questions at a job fair?

At least that's a legit reason to dislike them. But hey it's your career so whatever.

I'm sure if the call you'll be sure to turn them down.

I will say I've heard they did a class act at WIA so maybe they are getting things figured out.

I would absolutely turn AA down. I noticed at WAI they had more nAAtives so maybe that's why they were better. I was unimpressed by the USAirways guy who did the SBI. It was also annoying they did 2 applicants at once.

I don't think I've flown with anyone who wants to go back to AWA/USAir/AA.

Hey if you're in a place where you can do that great for you. But it's pretty small thinking if not.

Good luck

Sounds like someone's not getting called.

I hope so; if they do they clearly will not have noticed I haven't updated the app since last August.

If you like it, great... But read your own posts about "big regional" (unless I'm mistaken, then I apologize for putting words in your mouth). Not the kind of place I want to call a career. Delta and United have demonstrated a willingness to be the best product out there, so that's where my focus is.

KDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They marked my resume in red pen. KDA! WAAAAAOOOOOOOOO! Gettin' some cold cuts… gettin' some cold cuts...

I'm pretty sure they are doing great.
