Professionalism...is sometimes lacking.

Do you not understand the point of my original post? It was just to say that the regional airlines are not and cannot attract the best and brightest with current QOL and pay. Its purpose wasn't a general declaration or rule that I ascribe to, nor was it a statement that was meant to be an excuse for unprofessional behavior.
 
It was slapdash because it seems that you jump to a hasty conclusion about the nature of my post. A more appropriate response would have asked to clarify what I meant, not attack my argument with a straw man response.
 
That would be in conflict with every post I've ever made here. Everybody knows I come in, start a fire, and leave. Don't get your panties in a wad. ;-)

It is mathematically impossible for you to give 110% Zap. You can't give 10% more than you have. It's simply not possible.

Is anyone else annoyed by this phrase? People will try to sell me things, or want to work for me and they say "I'll give 110% percent!" as if I am foolish. I figure - they are already lying to me...I can't move forward with them. I had a salesman (woman salesman) trying to sell me a really expensive advertising thing. I asked how much of a discount I would get if I just paid for a year now, vs monthly. She said she didn't know, but she didn't think anything. I said I wanted a 15% discount and she said "I'll ask my manager and see...but if he says no, I'll just work 15% harder!!!".

To which I replied "If you find it possible to work 15% harder for me than you were planning to work anyway I think we need to part ways now."

I hate people.
 
Well, my engine doesn't overspeed until it exceeds 103%... And shuts down automagically at 107%...

Besides. You're acting like my wife. Knock it off.
 
I've also seen around 108% N1 on takeoff. Mathematical impossibility, or plain awesomeness? You decide.
