Private Pilots are allowed to be paid to tow gliders!

Ever seen 61.129? They have eliminated the need for 10 hours of solo and replaced it with a fake "performing duties of PIC."

I noticed that the other day when I was reading through the FAR 2011. I couldnt remember if it had always been like that or not. I remember when I did my commercial I had to do all that stuff solo. But now you can have your instructor on board for it.

:) That's a good thing. I HATED having to fly totally alone.

Then why are you becoming a pilot? I love being up their alone. Especially in gliders. Nothing like spending all day alone with your music on flying thermals.

I love flying, just not being alone. I don't care who is there or if they are a pilot or not. I just like having someone else in the plane.

I love flying alone. Just me, my MP3 player, and my CVS lightly salted cashews.
