Private Carriage or Common Carriage?

Upon studying for my Commercial SEL oral today I stumbled upon a question I wasn't too sure about.

"A person approaches you and offers $500 to fly him to Dallas for the weekend in his plane, are you able to do this?"

From what I understand you are legal to do this since he is seeking you for service and all you as the pilot would be doing is providing pilot services under Part 91 regulations..but I'm still unsure if that's the case.

do you have a reputation of being willing to fly for hire? how did he find you?

Doesn't matter if it isn't your plane and you don't procure it.

Only thing that matters is that the flight can be operated under part 91 in this scenario. If the person offering you the $500 was selling seats on the flight, it may not be.
