Pressure Altitude and Performance Charts

Should you use your calculated pressure altitude at cruise to figure out cruise performance? I don't really think it would make a big difference. And the pressure altitude will be constantly changing anyways. Just wondering what all of you do...

Depends on what the performance charts use...could be pressure or density altitude. Remember, pressure altitude does not determine performance, density altitude does. So if the performance charts use pressure altitude, they will also somehow adjust for nonstandard temperature. If not, then you will have to determine the density altitude at cruise.

Our charts are set up as pressure altitude with ISA deviations (to give us density altitude). I'd highly recommend it.
