Present for CFI

I make it a point to take my student out for a beer after he/she passes. When they offer for the bill, that's what makes me proud to be an instructor.

To all the CFI's on JC:

I want to get my CFI a present for helping me pass my check ride. Is there anything out there that all CFI's need in that $150 range? Any good gift ideas?

Thank you in advance.

CB

By him/her a couple hours of flight time. Then they can get something they all feel they desperately need.

cash!!!!:D Seriously A gift card to a nice restaurant enough to make it a really nice out with someone would be great! I would imagine most cfi's dont run around taking girls/wife's out on $100 dinner dates!

or, pilots/cfi's like sunglasses, but cannot afford really nice ones. that would be cool too!

I did the restaurant thing for my CFI when I got my instrument ticket. I think I gave him a $50 gift card to applebee's. Just somewhere where he could take his family out for a dinner or something.

Also as CBpilot said without all the CFI's out there I would not be flying so to all the CFI's THANK YOU! I hope to be able to become one soon and return the favor.

Most of our students realize that we are all drinkers. Either a gift card to a BevMo, or Total Wine.. or a case of a nice IPA.. Hell, even a bottle of a nice Irish Whiskey works wonders.. The easiest way to a pilot's heart is through his Liver...:-)

Does he have a wife and kids? He might trust you enough with his kid/s and you could offer a $50 gift card for a night out and babysit?

Being a new parent, I would totally appreciate that!

If he is single...$50 in ones ;)...jk
