PPL Written Question Bank

For the PPL written...are the 100 questions taken out of the RED GLEIM PRIVATE PILOT book? That's the one with the 1000 question bank right? Just want to make sure. Thanks! ps: any suggestions on studying for this? I'm going to be taking it soon.

Uh, the The Red Gleim Book questions are taken out of the FAA test question bank, and yes they are the same.
 
Ok I wasn't really sure. That's what I meant to say. I was just wondering if the red gleim book was pretty much all I needed as far as the questions they pull out to use go....(if the gleim had all the 1000 q's I needed to know).
 
Thanks all....i'll probably end up just memorizing the answers...but after I take it, i'll go back and analyze the questions more in depth...i think it'd just be easier to study without the added pressure of having to take it for real and then learn it afterwards.
 
I recommend the ASA prepware, if you are willing to pay 50 dollars for it. I used it for my PPL. It was easy to use. In my opinion worth the money.

Ummm, spend your time learning something that you will use in the plane or need to know on the checkride.

I have been going over the private written the past few days and geez, many of those questions are useless.

They need to replace all those stupid ADF/NDB questions with GPS questions about the Garmin 430, G1000, and the one in all the NavII 172s.

The weather section needs to be updated. Remove some of those maps and put in some questions about how to use ADDS and maybe Duats and other internet weather.

There are plenty of other questions that are just out of date too. The FAA seems to waste alot of time on restructuring airspace to appease paranoid politicians but seems to forget about updating the fundamentals that pilots need to know about from the beginning.
