Yesterday was the day. I was nervous going into it but I passed with flying colors. The oral went by so quickly that I couldn't believe it was over. He asked if I had any questions for him and I replied, "Sir, I know I'm not supposed to ask this, buuut, that's it?" He laughed and said, "Yep, I'll be at the plane when you're ready." The flight went smooth and was uneventful.

I am so happy. It's a dream come true. Now to start building the cross-country time and working on the instrument rating. Now, I just need the school to get VA approved so I can use my GI Bill.

I'm still a low-time pilot working on Instrument training. The best landing I ever had too date was when I took my brother up for my first flight as a private pilot. Take some friends up and enjoy!

I just returned from a nice long day trip. I went down to (departed Fort Worth Spinks) Austin to pick up my father-in-law (the one who made this possible) and then we went to San Antonio to see my brother-in-law. It was perfect. The weather was great and my F-I-L had a blast. Oh, and speaking of best landings....Absolutely the best to was this evening when I arrived back home. "Like buttah."

Looks like you flew right through my neck of the woods. I instruct at PWG, and frequently make the trip to FWS to visit my girlfriend. I'm glad you enjoyed the flight, it is awesome to get to do.

You will learn so much building cross country time between now and IFR training. It's invaluable. Congratulations on this big accomplishment. It is literally all downhill from here.
