Pot Farmin' Pilot

I heard he often would get his flight number confused, "Flight 4-2-OH, err... uhhhh... I mean 1459 clear to land runway 9R."

Sure spend a lot of time in, umm, Ohio!

Curiousity question -

One can get a license in Colorado to legally dispense medical marijuana to those patients that have a valid presription.

So if you never smoked it, worked as a pilot but had this side business that dispensed it would that be a conflict?

No, DUCY? Although if the media got wind of it, it might make for some bad press and some letters being written to the Cheif Pilot.

Hey, hey now! He's done more for the aviation that you'll ever dream of, sonny. End of story. :rotfl:

I'd say no because he would be violating a Federal law at that point. Dispensaries are a hot topic right now. Obama basically has taken the hands off approach to them and asked the Federal drug agencies to focus on other things deemed more important but who knows what the next President will do.

I'm not sure if some people can accept this happening, but it will probably be legalized some time in the future.

That being said, I have to give a hand clap to anyone that says "doper" after 1975. Is Harry Caray on that end?

Pot heads should be nowhere near the cockpit of an airplane. End of story.

what do you know about it...you're not what you claim to be. You say you fly b777...prove it.:rotfl:

I think you just sit around on your butt and make up stories.

Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

I just mean that for a guy from "NYC" there's certainly a lot of time spent in Columbus. Where some other users are well, in the same geographic area perhaps? :)

Same demographic too.

Damn wizards and wizard wanna-be's. Can't find their butts with both wands...er...hands.

Drugs are bad, m'kay.

I've never smoked, I've been in the airline industry since high school and flying since I was 15 so there was always a chance I could be drug tested. I've had good friends turn into total pot heads, lose all ambition, and end up living crappy lives that seem to be going no where. I also have friends who get high every now and then, maybe at a party, and there are no lasting effects on them. Any drug is harmful if you get addicted to it, even sleeping pills. I agree the cockpit is no place for "pot heads", but my definition of a pot head would be similar to my definition of someone with a severe alcohol problem. They'd have to depend on it. Smoking in moderation isn't a big deal to me. Then again, I'm born and raised in San Francisco. I've seen naked men riding bicycles down the street in broad daylight with joints in their hands and no one cares...except the tourists. Its just how it is out here.
