Regional Pilot Charged w/ Growing Marijuana

Surry County, NC-- The Surry County Sheriff's Office has charged a man who works as a pilot for Delta Connection Airlines with drug violations. Investigators say they received a tip last week of a shipment of marijuana being delivered to a Low Gap address.

Sheriff Graham Atkinson said his office received information that the delivery was for Christopher David Large, 35, at 161 N. Morgan Road and that it contained marijuana. Officers intercepted the package and investigators then made a controlled delivery to Large.

After Large accepted the package, another group of officers met him near his home and obtained consent to search his residence. Inside the home, officers found evidence of marijuana growing and Zanax that had not been prescribed to Large.
Large is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a drug dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was processed at the Surry County Jail.

I don't know, I figure a little bit of overtime and maybe a hack or two at the FarmVille iPhone app usually quenches any thirst I have for illicit action.
 
He also may not have been arrested if he had exercised his 4th amendment right to refuse a search.

Furthermore, he wouldn't have been arrested if he hadn't been growing weed. :D

Yeah I about shat myself when I read that he let them search his place voluntarily. You would think people doing illegal things would know their rights a little better.

I love watching cops, when the cop says - hey just be honest with me man, acting like he's his buddy or he's not there to screw them in every conceivable way. The people just open right up. They are freaking retarded. Not that they don't deserve what they get, but they don't even give themselves a fighting chance.
 
Hell yeah. Free housing, free healthcare, three square meals a day...might need to rob me a bank or somethin'!
