Imagine how crazy it has to get for people to start actually reading the safety demo card. No but seriously if this is real hopefully he’s getting the help he need. The reality is that we all probably fly with individuals more than we think who share this same story. You’d be surprised what kind of demons guys who have whole families are dealing with.

Wanting to kill yourself when you're a pilot, doesn't always mean that you want to kill yourself at work and take 150-180 pax with you. Just like when an f/o at your same company is also a member here and uses expletives towards you. It's not insubordination. Thought that I'd clear that up.

As someone who has worked with adult and juvenile sex offenders. As well as having worked with juvenile sexual assault victims, sex workers, and trafficked youth. It's emtionally gut wrenching hearing what this gentlemen went through and how alone that he was during his traumatic struggle. Having said that, there's a time and a place. This wasn't the time and it wasn't the place. Who knows what was going through his mind at the time, but I hope that he's getting the well-deserved help that he needs.
