Oh man, you just have to pop that in there dont ya?

If we do this on sunday, we all should go grab some breakfast.

I contacted the Long Beach Tower,

Tower Tours are Monday-Friday, during normal working hours.
Need to be a US Citizen and show proof....

I was going to arrange one on Monday, 23-January, after the simulator ride for Ray Houston.....

Mike

Yeah, just let me know about the 2:30 tour.

Actually, Mike, if possible can we push it back to 3? If not, it's fine too, just wondering! Thanks Mike! Our dads are going to be dead BEAT TIRED of aviation after this!!!:rawk:

And you don't want them to offer it to you, either!! :p
Hopefully that will never happen.
Lloyd, the weather in Nashville wasnt half bad this weekend down there. i ended up racking up 18.6 hours

Just wanted to let everyone know:

I was not able to get a tour of LAX or SNA tower. I mentioned i'd be in with 2 private pilots, and one current student pilot, and they said due to security concerns it's not allowed. I mentioned that i've known of some people who've done it, and she just said "under special circumstances"

So yeah, didnt seem to work for me. Oh but, she did say try again in 6 months!

Yeah..right!

With towers like LAX, you'd need to know someone actually working at the airport. If you were to call the tower directly, they'd probably say they were understaffed, or something like that. Like everything in aviation...NETWORK (it's who yha know). Smaller towers are eaiser, you just hit then up on ground.

I swear, when I fly for the most reputable/stable company, make $300k/yr, and get great benefits, I'll give yha a free ride. :D In the meantime, I'll buy lunch or something along those lines (just not at that fancy $70/plate resturant on pine).

LOL ur right about that Bigey.....my dad is already wondering why we are spending the entire time in LA doing aviation related stuff :)

Definetely a worth while tour. I toured New Orleans tower last week and spent half the day talking with the guys in the Approach/Depature. The tower was a breath taking experience too.
