Possible MH370 wreckage washed away near Madagascar

Correct me if I'm wrong but it has a serial number on it. It shouldn't really take to long to call and match the number right?
Correct....but that depends on if Malaysian has a decent records retention program. If it was an "as built" part; as in it was original part that was on the aircraft when built, Boeing has records for every part that is installed on their aircraft during manufacture.

I saw one report that the data plate was missing.

It was removed (along with evidence of the SAM hit) so it couldn't be traced to the other MH 777...

I've been out of the country for the last two weeks. Has there been any progress on this story?

It kinda went all quiet after there were conflicting reports of the piece belonging to MH370 and then not belonging to MH370.

Certainly doesn't seem much less mysterious than before.

At this point, I'm sure even if the CVR were to wash up with the captains social security card and the passport of the first officer stuck to it, a good chunk of the world will never accept the factual findings and preach conspiracy for the rest of their existence.

If that happened I would definitely not believe it.

Are those the same people that believe 9/11 is fake and the airplanes are offshore with this Malaysian aircraft? They sure are beginning to get a nice set of wide bodies
