Hey Doc, I talked to you on Christmas Eve about getting around Lexapro for anxiety. I realize the only approval is to quit taking the meds for a period of time and be evaluated to show all is well. I only want a 3rd class medical to fly my "BEAST", a 1971 Cessna 150, around rural Arkansas. I ran across this Statement of Demonstrated Ability on Flight Physical.com. It says your condition has to be static or non progressive and you have to be capable of performing your airman duties. I have taken Lexapro daily for several years now to manage anxiety, and haven't undergone any changes---with the exception of being less tense and nervous all the time!!!! Do you think this is a possibility until the FAA comes out with the special issuance for Lexapro folks? Thanks for your time.
