Portland freight jobs

You can go to the regionals and start out at $18,000 to fly a jet. I just saying...:) j/k

I'm gonna stick with my measly flight instructing job flying seminoles and 172s around for now. I'm making enough money here to not be in a hurry to leave- but obviously I want to step up to turbine at some point, and I'll probably end up at Ameriflight (if they'll have me).

Of course they will! If you get 1500TT and a decent amount of multi, they'll even start you out in the 99 without you even having to except an outstation.

Apply and find out. If theres a need, you'll get it...especially if its an outstation.

I am local to Burbank and in May when I have IFR 135 mins I would like to work for Ameriflight. Any chance of staying in Burbank just starting out?

Absolutely! You'll have a 99.9% chance of getting BUR as a base. You wouldn't be interested in being a training captain while building up the rest of your time would you?

I would but I am doing the aerial imaging thing with DWAS until May. Is it possible to spend your whole career with AmFlight at Burbank?

It seems to me that a single guy with few or no commitments should be ALL over a PDX (or any other) outstation.

  • go immediately to the 99 - bypass the chieftan
  • you don't need a place to live at the outstation - you're only there during the day
  • company pays for your housing at night in portland
  • stay with your GF on the weekend
  • work a 2nd j.o.b. at the outstation if you want
  • stash as much cash as possible...

Now all I need to do is get like 1000 more hours and i'm all over the Medford/Portland deal. I've Got family in Medford and there's plenty of strippers to stay with in Portland

What are the PDX outstations for the 99? I'm at XJT right now, but at the bottom of the list who knows if I'll be there in 6 months. I live in the PDX area so I'm not sure if the outstations would be a good deal for me or not.

There are two in Redmond (RDM); one each in Roseburg (RBG), La Grande (LGD) and Klammath Falls (LMT).

They are all full now, but many would likely be available by the time you got hired/trained.
