Poop on a Plane

Wow.

That's horrible, I know I don't know all the details/the whole story but I can't believe that was allowed to happen.

The worst part is in the details. They still served food! Then the FA's told them "not to eat too much" to avoid having to go.

Yeah, but it's still just an article written by the media. I tend to take the media's output with a grain of salt. Not that they give bad info, just that there's almost always more to the story than what the media reports.

Certainly NOT defending flying an airplane with lavs like that by anymeans!! Just saying I'd like to talk to someone who was actually ON the plane for myself, ya know?

What would you ask em?:D

Honestly, I'd just ask them to tell me what happened!

(I'm just not a fan of the U.S. media..... can ya tell :) )

Hey I think that most people would agree with you! I worry about the rest. I think this particular story is kind of hard to get wrong though. haha

"Poop on a plane. Details at 10."

Someone had flushed a pair of latex gloves down the toilet and caused this obstruction. That is why there are signs asking you not to flush anything other than TP down the toilets. Why it wasn't fixed in Shannon is unknown. CAL is very unhappy with this event (as well they should be) and has vowed to compensate passengers for the inconvenience. Hopefully it will be enough.

Very traumatic I am sure for all passengers onboard.

Let me guess Velo, the only reason there is going to be a lawsuit is because jetblue skybus and virgin all pay 95/hr right?

Wasn't this same scenario featured in the "You're the captain" section of JC? Honestly, does it REALLY take 12+ hours to service a freakin' lavatory? C'mon!!!

And a $500 voucher is an absolute slap in the face to the pax. A genny going off line is one thing in-flight, but exposed to human excreta for 7 hours WHILE EATING? As a licensed A&P I'm nothing shy of embarrassed.

*ahem* (ready?)

"In-Continental"

Thank you, thank you, I'm sure I'm the first person to come up with that one (maybe in this context, perhaps?).

From what I read they thought they fixed the Lav in Shannon, but didn't discover the glove till they arrived in EWR. Needless to say, I'm sorry it happened.

The news on airlines keep coming and coming.
