Polar air hiring

Since they now own Southern Air (Erlanger, KY) this may be a call to staff positions at that facility.

My guess----the days of their dispatch officer being in NY are numbered. They can save a boatload of money by moving operations to CVG and maintain the title of the largest ACMI operator in the Us.

They made the accouncement a little while back they are moving to KY. Best guess is not a lot people are going to move if they havent already.

How does it work between Atlas and Polar? Do the dispatchers dispatch under both certificates or just one? My understanding was that Polar was simply a marketing brand at one time.

Polar was bought by Atlas awhile ago. There are still 2 separate certificates. 3 now with Southern.

My understanding is they are different dispatchers sitting in the same room answering different phones.

From a previous thread - are they going to pay "NY" money to Erlanger based dispatchers?

If recent experience is any indication, they're going to try to pay swamps of Louisiana money.
It's NY pay in CVG. It's a union job they can't change pay unless they change the airline name which they won't. Atlas/polar are under the same CBA. Southern will soon become atlas but polar will always remain polar due to there strong presence in Asia and routes. Not to mention all polar does is DHL freight.
