Point me in the direction of some good chinese food in grand forks

I knew a girl my freshman year that wouldn't drive down Columbia because "there was too much traffic" true story...

she was from like bumble**** ND though and had probably only seen 3 cars in her life before she came to college.
I am very very nervous about having to drive in Anchorage:o That is going to be some seriously scary driving after Haines.

Does anyone have a menu from the China Garden or another Chinese restaurant to either post on here or send me? I'm thinking of having Chinese delivered on Sunday since all the dining centers are closed.

AngelFuree and I just got back from Fargo in the Seminole. We intended to go to Yuki Hana for sushi, but we took off 50 minutes late from Grand Forks because it's apparently the middle of January still here. We needed an EPU start since the engine was so damn cold... heavy winds gusting directly into the engine cowling. Wonderful! So we arrived into Fargo 5 minutes before Yuki Hana closed their kitchen for the night... so we had to revert to Olive Garden. Not too bad I guess. The flight was lots of fun!

I thought that UND doesn't allow flights in the Seminole without one of their instructors flying along. Or am I wrong here? Are you allowed to take the plane since Angel is a CFI (I think who doesn't work for UND)?

There was a good Chinese place downtonw GFK before the flood. I think the folks who owned it, opened up the "Mongolian" type place on 32nd Ave, if it is still there. Food never was quiet the same though, a little too "cooked" if that makes any sense.

Plenty of good places if Fargo though.

He was an observer... I wasn't clear at first.

Yeah I was observing. It was fun to get out of here. We ended up in Fargo at Olive Garden, it was ok.

So, that was like a $300 plate of pasta? :D

The funny thing about the Asian Buffets in GFK are that they get their food from the same place. It's called Asian Foods, Inc it's based out of Buena Vista, CA. It sucks but it appears that they spread their filth all over the country. I'm pretty sure they provide to Panda Buffet and Great wall but i think china garden is safe.

Yep, I saw the semi truck pulling into the resturant on Columbia(I forgot the name) today actually. :)

I ordered the sweet & sour chicken and the pork fried rice from China Garden, and they were both pretty good. I placed my order and 12 minutes later I got the phone call that it was downstairs. I noticed that the receipt was printed in both Chinese and English and it showed the final price, but not each item's price and I've never seen that before. On the fortune cookies, it says they were distributed by Asian Foods in St. Paul, so maybe there is a distributor for each region of the U.S.

Yeah i believe the back of their trucks say St.Paul and KC Mo. The first time i saw one of the trucks i was thinking to myself that the employees must really come from the wholesaler on the trucks. I know poor taste poor taste.

:laff::laff::laff:

I had the funniest lady as my waitress at china garden when I went with my girl friend. I felt bad for her when she kept asking me if I wanted a refill of my drink because she hobbled everywhere. Not only that but she took for ever to pick up my credit card because she thought I was paying cash and I would just leave when I am ready. She was also eating from the table across from us while waiting our table. After she ate she disappeared to the lady's restroom for a good 10-15 minutes. I guess I am just used to good service from back hope. Buffalo Wild Wings has great service here. One of my favorite places to eat.
