Why the price difference between the Stopover Store and Luggage Works?

Are they the same thing or is one constructed differently?

Also, is it worth the extra $25 to get the computer stealth vs. the normal one?

Thanks

Just looked, but I couldn't tell the difference. Maybe Stop Over sells 'em cheaper because they buy them from LW in bulk? Free ground shipping in the US is a big seller, IMO. I got the 26" myself, but I normally have to pack for 5 days worth of flying at a time. If I had gone with the 22", I'd be short room in my bag.

You can pull off 6 days in the 22 with a pair of workout/overnight shoes if you work at it enough, though I think it took me about 4 months to figure out how to do it, and it required a separate computer bag. A 22" also fits in an overhead bin perfectly, and worked well being a commuter. If you have the room, I'd also say 26" if you're going to be out away from home a lot, but you can make a 22" work.

I second jtrain. I made the 22 work for me and just carried my computer separately. I have a Targus computer bag and it gives me so much more room to carry stuff. The only complaint I have is that with that I have 3 bags:

Suitcase
Computer
Flight Kit

Because of that, I can't be really frugal and carry my own lunches with me without adding a 4th bag. I just can't bring myself to do that. If I work for a company, someday, that keeps the pubs on the airplane(s), I will do cartwheels if I can ditch the flight kit and pack my own lunch if I overnight often enough to need that!

Technically 26" isn't allowed as a carry on, it's too big. You might encounter some gate agents that are against you carrying it. Just a PSA.

The 26" really is for the guys that go for two weeks overseas.

I think the longest trip I've packed in the 22" is just over a week, that was with a separate computer bag. When the 22" is packed full I have more concern about the weight than the size, I would think a full 26" would be quite heavy.

I have a 22 and a 26, but I use the 22 more often as it's just easier not having to deal with the behemoth that the 26 is. But then I carry one of these too:

I, in fact, carried the fourth bag. Was it heavy with all that food in it? Yes. Did I look like a traveling hobo? Yes. Worse of all, did I look like a flight attendant? Yes.

But at $19,000 a year, what else can you ask for.

Yeah, but I haven't run into it in the 3 years I've been rolling on the 26. I just don't see how you can pack clothes for 5 days of work, work out clothes, an extra pair of shoes, bathroom stuff and clothes to go out in the 22". I had a 22" before I got this one (not Luggage Works, though), and I couldn't do it, despite my years of playing Tetris and packing 737s full of bags. It was always the extra pair of shoes that did me in, and it's kinda hard to work out in a pair of black Doc Martens.

I'll probably switch to the 22" when I start commuting, though. I'll just deal with whatever I can't take with me.

I can carry all that in my PNS 22" for up to a 7 day trip if I pack creatively enough. It's not very practical, though. Instead of a bigger bag, my solution is to bid for shorter trips (not that I have to worry about it these days). :)

You have any idea when you'll get recalled?

Go with the 22...it fits a ton of stuff!
If you work at Polar, Netjets, work more than 7 days in a row, or you are Kellwolf :D get the 26.

Your stuff takes up less room in your bag cuz YOU take up less room, pee wee. :D Pack the same number of shirts/pants/shoes/socks/etc as, say, Seggy for a trip and you'll need half the space he does. Just the way it goes.

I'll be downgrading to a Marshall-sized ;) netbook when the time comes to go full-on road warrior. Can't see the sense in running around with full-size laptop when all I really need is something to surf the web and watch movies on, and if I'm forced to check it someday and have some ramper break it, I'll suffer less heartburn replacing a $300 netbook than a $2000 Thinkpad. Besides, it makes more sense these days to go with a nice desktop machine at home and a cheap netbook for travel.

When you guys say the 22" fits in the overhead but the 26" does not, are you talking a lack of depth in the bin that causes this? I'd think you could just turn the bag sideways or something? I dunno, never tried to stuff a rollaboard in an overhead bin.
