Is upgrade time still around 1.5 years? And what is captain pay there? The PC12 is some of the most fun flying I've ever done, and am so tempted to go back...
Maybe I should have said scheduled carrier instead of 121.
We have CASS as well. What also helps is being able to reciprocate and also have some kind of a schedule so people have an idea where you're going. I doubt PS could get an jumpseater on board if they had clients on, empty seats or not.
I believe CASS also requires having at least one aircraft over 12,500. There is one large 135 carrier in AK that doesn't have CASS because their largest airplane is a B200.

Yes, anywhere from 12months to 2years depending on previous experience, they play favorites to upgrade, it's only partially based on seniority. First year CA is 45/yr, 2nd year is 50/yr, 3rd year is 54k, 4th year is 57k, then annual raises are only 2k, they barely cover inflation at 2-3%, that's why it's a 2-3year job.
Nothing, other pc12's, or King Air's if you know someone. Single engine turbine time gets you very little
what do Planesense pilots typically move on to? Get 1000+ PIC turbine, even if it's single engine.. and be qualified for... ?
Just like anything else in the industry, it's all in who you know. We've had a couple people move on to XO, air ambulance (jets), and other 135/91 gigs, regionals etc. I was told it was a dead end job by many, but after being here for a while I've seen people with very little multi time move on to other jobs thanks to the experience and who they know. If you sit around, become comfortable and stop networking than you probably won't move on to much else, but if you continue to network it's a good place for experience. Honestly it's not a bad place to work. I have a good QOL, good insurance, know my schedule an entire year in advance, and get to enjoy the perks of any other corporate gig (hotel/fbo points etc). Also the Pilatus is a blast to fly.

There are sort of 2 threads going now about this lol. But if you got 1000+ turbine PIC hours, but already had over 1000 multi (piston) hours, would that help?? Or would you be in the same boat as if you had 0 multi hours because they're only looking at the turbine PIC and it's SE ?
I want this job but I'm short by 800 hours. Are internal recommendation key to getting the mins lowered?

There is another thread where I gave lots of info, feel free to look that one up. I just recently left PS, got a job in a 135 Hawker.
I figured that.I meant when I get close to 1000ttInternal recs help, but not if you're short 800hrs.
Congrats, always good to hear people moving on. But you were already flying the Hawker part-time for a while right? So the PC12 time didn't necessarily help, did it?
Sorry, misunderstood what you were saying. Yes, at that point internal recs should help.I figured that.I meant when I get close to 1000tt
There is an alumna of your alma mater who just upgraded to captain there.Sorry if this is in the wrong thread. Does anyone have an information on hiring at PlaneSense in New Hampshire? I see they are hiring FO's but require 1200 TT. Is this normal for a SIC on a plane that does not require two pilots? Is anyone getting in with less?
